A very different Customs I from the team originally envisaged, late replacements were called on to keep the team afloat as the Jelletts were committed to a different event, and the entire Walker household was stricken with influenza.
Charles Bowering and Simon Armour flexed their muscles in Charles's first game of the season and what may well be Simon's first competitive game of the century. This game carried on for the longest, all other results being declared by 9.30. Daniel continued his unbeaten run and Rhys justified his selection with a win against a higher graded opponent. Tye achieved a solid draw which enabled Charles, when the opportunity arose, to accept the draw and seal the match.
Half the players in this match were ex-Temple Sutton pupils.
