Club Competitions

Season 1999/00

This season saw us running three teams in the Southend & District Chess League with mixed fortunes. The first team were relegated from the First Division whilst the second and third teams comfortably retained their places in the Second and Third Divisions respectively. The highlight of the Evening League competitions was undoubtedly the second teams performance in reaching the final of the Perriman Cup where, unfortunately, we lost narrowly to Wickford II

In the Southend & District Individual Competitions we had a number of entries with limited success. However, congratulations go to Graham Walker who reached the final of the Plate Competition.
